System Security: extended requirements for the assessment of system stability

Changed grid and system structures influence the dynamic system behavior of transmission and distribution networks. This results in increasingly extended requirements for the analysis and evaluation of system stability.

In order to investigate the interactions of systemic compensation processes - e.g. through the integration of power electronic components - the previous methods of stability analysis have to be extended. This includes new methods of modelling as well as enhanced methods and algorithms for stability calculations (example: "Harmonic Stability Analysis").
