Prof. Dr. Alexander Buchele
Person
Alexander Buchele teaches and conducts research in the field of "Simulation for energy efficiency and sustainable production processes" at the Ansbach University of Applied Sciences. He heads the Competence Centers for Flow Simulation (KSTS) and Industrial Energy Efficiency (KIEff) and supervises the research group of the Ansbach University of Applied Sciences at the Energy Campus Nuremberg (EnCN). He is also a member of the program management for the Bachelor's program "Sustainable Engineering".
Having completed his PhD in chemical engineering, Alexander Buchele initially gained experience in the conventional energy sector, specialising in power station construction. There, as a project manager and later as a division manager, he was primarily responsible for the engineering of international power station projects. In 2016, Buchele moved into the renewable energy sector and took over as Managing Director of the Nuremberg Energy Campus. There, working alongside the sponsoring institutions, he successfully implemented new concepts for interdisciplinary energy research. In 2022, he accepted a post at Ansbach University of Applied Sciences.
