Über die Person

Die Forschungsthemen von Frauke Liers liegen in der mathematischen Optimierung, insbesondere in der gemischt-ganzzahlig linearen und nichtlinearen Optimierung unter Unsicherheiten. Sie interessiert sich für Fragestellungen mit Anwendungen in verschiedenen Bereichen, unter anderem in Energie und Logistik.

Lebenslauf

Prof. Dr. Frauke Liers studierte Mathematik (Moll Physik) an der Universität Köln. Sie erhielt ihren Doktortitel in Informatik im Jahr 2004. Nach Forschungsaufenthalten in Rom und Paris leitete sie eine DFG-geförderte
Emmy Noether Gruppe, die im Dezember 2006 in Köln startete.

2010 habilitierte sie sich in Informatik. 2012 wurde sie Professorin für Angewandte Mathematik am Lehrstuhl für Mathematik an der Friedrich-Alexander Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, wo sie Studiendekanin von 2016-2019 war. 2021 wechselte sie als Gründungsmitglied in die neue Abteilung Data Science und blieb als Nebenmitglied in Mathematik. Sie koordiniert die konsekutiven Studiengänge Data Science sowie Economics & Mathematics. Sie koordiniert die Europäische
Graduate College MINOA (Marie-Curie ITN, 2018-2021) und ist Principal Investigator im Collaborative
Forschungszentren SFB 1411 und SFB/TRR 154. Seit April 2023 ist sie Sprecherin des CTC/TRR 154.
