RF Power Electronics and Electromagnetic Compatibility
In modern power electronic systems, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) requirements are constantly increasing. This development is driven in particular by higher switching frequencies and the use of new semiconductor technologies. Conventional passive filters are taking up an increasingly large proportion of the construction volume and weight of power electronic systems, thus limiting the achievable power density.
Active EMC filters offer a promising solution here. They enable effective reduction of electromagnetic emissions while requiring less space and offering higher efficiency. They thus make a significant contribution to increasing power density and reducing construction volume and system weight.
