The department offers courses on “Climate and Resource Economics” (Bachelor’s program) and “Empirical Environmental Economics” (Master’s program), as well as the seminar “Energy Markets.” In addition, the department regularly supervises Bachelor’s and Master’s theses on current topics in energy and environmental economics.
Mario Liebensteiner is an assistant professor of Energy Markets and Energy System Analysis (on a tenure track to a W3 full professorship) at FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg. His research interests lie in the analysis and regulation of energy markets and in the evaluation of environmental policy. Previously, Mario Liebensteiner worked as a postdoctoral and predoctoral researcher at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern and the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU). He earned his Ph.D. in Economic Policy from WU and his master’s degree in Economics from JKU Linz and the City University of Hong Kong.
